6. What if I’m not comfortable with having someone come into my home when I’m not there?

We understand your concerns.  In a world full of people, its hard to know who you can trust.  All of our pet sitters at We Care 4 Pets have undergone extensive background checks and are subject to random drug testing.  Our pet sitters have also undergone extensive training by We Care 4 Pets. 

With We Care 4 Pets dog walking and pet sitting services, you will be assigned a personal pet sitter.  This allows both you and your pet to establish a long, trusting bond with your pet sitter. Your pet sitter will be the only one entering your home and caring for your pet.

In the event your pet sitter is ill or held up on the account of an emergency, you will be notified prior to your pet sitting appointment who your replacement pet sitter will be.  At the time of your initial consultation you will be notified of who your replacement sitter will be in the event your pet sitter is unable to make your pets appointment.  At any time, you can schedule a complimentary meet and greet with your assigned backup sitter.

6. What about my house key or alarm code?

We Care 4 Pets has a very discreet key filing system.  We code each key and keep them locked in a safe in our office when not in use.  Your name and address are not on the key or keychain so they cannot be matched to your home.

 Alarm codes and garage door codes are kept in the same fashion.

7. Why should I use a professional pet sitting service over a doggie-day care or boarding facility?

Hiring a professional pet sitter to come into your home relieves anxiety and stress for your pet that often accompanies them when attending doggie day care and boarding facilities.  Your pet will be at ease and comfortable being in familiar surroundings.  

You can customize our packages so that your pet never strays from his normal routine.  His/her diet and exercise will remain the same even when you’re not at home.

The risk of contracting an illness or disease from other pets is eliminated!  

Your pet will receive one-on-one love and attention when you are not at home.

Neither you or your pet will be inconvenienced or stressed by travelling.  We come to you!

We also provide special services that makes your home appear as if you are there even when you’re not!  We can bring in the mail/newspapers, take out trash, and adjust lighting and window treatments, at your request.

8. How much notice do you normally need?

We require about a week’s notification  before beginning our services.  If you are scheduling vacation sitting services, typically a week and a half to two weeks prior is ideal.  However, in emergency situations we can make arrangements for same-day services.

9. Do you care for other animals as well or just dogs and cats?

We Care 4 Pets provides services for all types of animals!  There are special packages specially for these smaller animals.

Examples of other animals we service on a regular basis include:  hamsters, rabbits, gerbils, fish, and guinea pigs.  Several of our pet sitters are trained in caring for snakes and iguanas, call today for more information.

10. What will happen in the event of an emergency?

We Care 4 Pets pet sitters are trained in Pet CPR and First Aid, and are capable of handling most situations.  In the event that your pet is in need of medical attention, you will be notified and your pet will be taken to the veterinarian of your choice.

11.   What types of medications do you administer?

We can administer any topical creams/lotions and oral medications.  We do not, however, administer any types of injections.

 

12. My dog is an outside dog.  How can your services benefit me?

There are several ways our services can assist with outside dogs!  

 
Our “Outside Dog” package is specially designed for outdoor dogs.  We will come to your house, as little or as often as you like, for 15 minutes at a time.  We will make sure your dog is safe and healthy, refill your dogs water bowl, make sure your dog has adequate shelter from the elements, and check to see that your yard is securely locked so that your dog cannot escape.

 
Our vacation packages will greatly assist you when you are away on business or leisure.  

 
Just because your dog is an “outside dog” doesn’t mean he has enough exercise!  Our “Just a Walk” package includes a 25 minute walk for your dog around your neighborhood or local park.  

  

13. Does my dog have to be on a leash when outside?

With the exception of homes with fenced in yards, all dogs will be leashed when outside.  This ensures the safety of not only your pet, but our pet sitters as well.
